Finally...items within the tabs

It's so hard to believe that Easter has come and gone.  Spring (to me) is finally here.  I'm excited to see new greens, new leaves, flowers come to life!!

I'm home from eating pineapple dressing and lemon cake with sticky icing and am now plugging faithfully away at my blog.  I will attempt to get a few of the tabs filled in with the items I create to give you a quick view of my work.  In the meantime, you can click on the banner which will take you directly to my Etsy shop link.  I love it there.  :)

IF you have something in mind that you would like to have done...a custom order, don't be afraid to ask.  Just send me a message and we can talk about what you'd like me to do for you.

Well, back to work.  Peace to you!

Cake and Cozies

Lemon Cake with Sticky Icing
I can't believe tomorrow is Easter already!  It's amazing to me at how quickly this year is going.  I just put the final touches on a lemon cake with 'sticky icing'.  I had never heard of it before I was asked to make one for tomorrow's dessert table.  It sounded complicated..."boil water and sugar until it becomes 'thready' off the fork... beat into stiff egg whites for 10 minutes."  It.  Is.  Beautiful. I also received a Reserve request for 4 cozies with dragonflies from such a sweet customer.  I'll post them when they are ready to go.  I think they're going to be pretty cool.

Thanks, Gram

Mary Janes, in my shop
I recently began to change the direction of my shop on Etsy.  It's not that I was actually heading in one direction exactly, but just kind of experimenting in which direction I'd like to go.

I ended up finding myself rooting around in old boxes, trying to find a pattern or two to crochet.  I'm always amazed at how easy it is to get back to it.  I've been crocheting since I was 9.  My grandmother would sit me down and hand me a hook and 'wool' and teach me during my visits.

She's been gone for some time now and I often think about her when it's quiet and I'm trying to untangle a mess within a skein of yarn. Thank you for your gift, Grandma.

One Step At A Time...

As is Spring...I'm in the beginning stages of warming things up.  I'm eager to have you join me, so please come back and visit in a day or two after I figure out how to add tabs and anything else I can squeeze onto this lovely page!  I'll be eager to see what you think.

Peace,
Kim
